Hey, I’m Bishop David Rwhynica Daniels Jr.
Bishop David Rwhynica Daniels, Jr. is the Ecumenical and Urban Affairs Officer and Endorsing Agent for the African Methodist Episcopal Church, serving chaplains worldwide, especially across all branches of the U.S. Military, Veterans Affairs, Federal Prisons, and community chaplaincies throughout the United States. He completed his assignment as Presiding Prelate of the 17th Episcopal District on August 30, 2026.
He has served as Bishop of the 14th, 15th, and 17th Episcopal Districts, providing spiritual oversight in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, South Africa, Angola, Namibia, Burundi, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, and Zambia. A pastor, educator, and builder, he has planted churches, founded schools and a university, and led over a million people in a national peace march in Liberia.
He believes God can use anybody regardless of gender, and he strongly believes in Women in Ministry. Throughout his years of service he has intentionally promoted spirit-filled women to leadership positions, raising up daughters and mothers in ministry for Kingdom impact. He also believes young people are the “Leaders of Today Responsible for Humanity’s Bright Future.”
He and his wife, Dr. Irene Moifoi Daniels, have three daughters: Danica Rwysayma, Davida Renee, and Iesha Mardea.
Bishop David Rwhynica Daniels, Jr. serves as the Ecumenical and Urban Affairs Officer and Endorsing Agent for the African Methodist Episcopal Church, supporting chaplains serving in the U.S. Military, Veterans Affairs, Federal Prisons, and community ministries. During his ministry, he has provided episcopal leadership across numerous African nations, planted churches, founded schools and a university, and led significant initiatives that combined faith with community impact.
A passionate advocate for Spirit-filled leadership, women in ministry, and developing young leaders, he believes every believer has a God-given assignment that requires the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. His ministry continues to encourage Christians worldwide to pursue lives marked by faith, purpose, and God’s anointing.
